3 women shot after discussion over politics; no arrest made, Miami police say

Police in Miami are investigating after officials said three women were shot during an argument over politics early Wednesday, the day after Election Day.
The shooting took place on a residential street southwest of the city's Wynwood neighborhood on Wednesday, the Miami-Dade Police Department told USA TODAY.
Officers responded at 12:25 a.m. for a report of three females struck by gunfire, the police department's spokesperson Michael Vega said Thursday.
The shooting scene is just over two miles northwest of downtown Miami.
At the crime scene, Vega said responding officers found three women shot.

First responders transported the women to a local hospital − one in critical condition and the other two people in stable condition, Vega said
A preliminary investigation revealed the following:
"A group was drinking and talking about politics when the shooting suspect went to a vehicle, retrieved a firearm, and began shooting," Vega said.
No arrest made
As of Thursday morning, police said no arrest had been made in the case and the shooter remained at large.
A suspect description was not provided by the department.
At the scene, Vega told CBS Miami, the trio was "part of a large group, drinking and having a good time... Witnesses said one of them became upset, possibly intoxicated. There is no place for violence, especially over a difference of opinion in politics."
The case remained under investigation Thursday.
